This collection was particularly close to our hearts because, in addition to being perfect for your summer looks, the material used, linen, has qualities that we cherish.
3 major qualities of linen
- Eco-friendly fabric
Made from a natural fiber, linen is transformed directly from the plant using natural and non-chemical processes. The retting of flax stalks is carried out on the ground after bad weather. This way, it requires little energy to produce. It needs few fertilizers and pesticides. The fabric therefore remains natural and ecological.
The finishing treatments of the material allow the properties of the fabric to be preserved over time. This way, the fabric does not deform, does not pill, and its resistant qualities are preserved.
The fiber transformation processes respect the environment and produce virtually no waste. The excess material is used to create derivative products, including paper pulp, flakes, seeds, and oil. This way, no waste is generated!
- Thermal regulator
The naturalness of the fiber allows the material to have hypoallergenic properties as well as thermoregulatory characteristics, meaning it is insulating in winter and breathable in summer. Fabrics made from linen provide a fresh feeling during the summer and retain heat during the winter. It therefore adapts to its environment. Linen also allows fabrics to have absorbent properties. Indeed, linen absorbs up to 20% of humidity without appearing damp. It dries very quickly and allows perspiration to leave the skin without leaving a trace. In addition to being beautiful, our accessories are practical!
- Resistant
Linen is one of the most resistant fibers on the market. As mentioned previously, pure linen fabric does not pill or deform under any circumstances. It is also resistant to light and water. Consequently, the more the material is washed, the softer it becomes and the fresher it feels after drying. Linen is a durable and resistant raw material over time. It is therefore perfect for your summer activities!
