* A deadstock is a fabric that has been produced but has not yet been used. This can include end-of-roll fabrics, production surpluses, fabrics left unused due to cancelled orders, or fabrics from previous collections.

In other words, these are fabrics that already exist, but have not been integrated into the usual production cycle and risk being wasted.
