This refers to repurposed fabric (deadstock) , which is fabric that has been produced but not yet used. This can include end-of-roll fabrics, production surpluses, fabrics left over from cancelled orders, or fabrics from previous collections.

In other words, these are fabrics that already exist, but have not been integrated into the usual production cycle and risk being wasted.
